Alumni Advice from the 2006 Career Day

What is the best career advice you would give students interested in your career field?
From Justin Simons (Trinity '97):  Most important is to get out to LA or NY and get your "foot in the door" however possible. Once you're in the "club," you'll find your opportunities increase exponentially.
From Julien Thuan (Trinity '97):  Never let other people discourage your pursuits. If you believe in something, trust your instincts and hang in there.

How has Duke influenced your success?
From Julien Thuan (Trinity '97) from United Talent agency:  A Duke alum gave me my first job in entertainment. He was working at UTA and offered me an internship.
